Allergyexpert.us was established in 2004 by Pierre-Alain Dauby, M.D. in order to improve education on allergic disorders. Dr. Dauby is a board-certified
adult / pediatric allergist and clinical immunologist who has published a number of articles in the field of Allergy/Immunology and has given numerous lectures
to physicians on food allergies, asthma, insect allergies, and allergic rhinitis. Specific areas of interest include food allergies, asthma, and insect allergies.
Education/Experience:
Dr. Dauby received a BA with a major in Biology from Hiram College, Hiram Ohio, and his M.D. from the Uniformed Services University of the Health
Sciences, F. Hébert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. After medical school, he underwent five years of additional training in Internal Medicine and
adult / pediatric Allergy / Immunology, both at the Wilford Hall United States Air Force Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
He was staff internist at the Wilford Hall Medical Center for a year, teaching internal medicine residents. He subsequently served as Chief of Allergy and
Immunology at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. In 2005, he was sent by the USAF to RAF Lakenheath, England, where he was Chief of the Allergy,
Asthma, and Immunology Clinic and the allergy/immunology consultant to the USAF European command Surgeon General. In 2008, he left the USAF and
worked with an allergy group in Northern Virginia, near Washington DC. In 2011, he joined the division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care
Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology (FAAAAI) and a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He has 4 children.
