Yes, studies demonstrate that it is safe to eat foods cooked in peanut oil—unless this oil is cold processed or labeled as gourmet peanut oil. It is thus safe
to eat foods cooked in peanut oil (so it is ok to eat at Chick-fil-A!). Peanut allergic individuals should avoid peanut oil labeled as "cold processed",
"expelled", "extracted", or "gourmet oil" however, as there may contain trace amounts of peanut proteins. There types of oils are much more expensive than
regular peanut oil and are therefore not found at fast food restaurants (so it is ok to eat at Chick-fil-A). For more information on peanut allergy, click here.
